APC crisis: Atiku speaks on
Okorocha ‘dumping’ APC party
The Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, has identified why his
counterpart from Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has not dumped the All Progressives
Congress, APC.
Bagudu disclosed that Okorocha was still a member of the APC because he
respects the party and President Muhammadu Buhari.
Featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the governor said
though Okorocha may have been aggrieved with his travails in the party, he
remained a member of APC.
Bagudu stated that despite Okorocha’s anger with the party, he was
still the Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum.
“Chief Rochas Okorocha has enormous regards to President Muhammadu
Buhari. He respects his party to the extent that he has not left his party and
he still believes in his party.
“He was not happy maybe about some things that have happened to him or
he perceived has happened to him and I think he has been very careful to draw
the distinction,” he stated.
This is coming at a time Okorocha accused the APC National Chairman,
Adams Oshiomhole and members of the party of witch-hunting him.
He disclosed that the evil he feared while in the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP) had befallen him ten times in the APC.
“That the party that I formed will treat me in this manner is rather
unfortunate. The evil I feared in the PDP has befallen me 10 times in the APC.
I hate injustice,” he had said.
