Thomas Markle criticizes Lifetime movie about the life of Meghan Markle
and Prince Harry
Thomas Markle Sr is
not impressed with Lifetime's new movie on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
and he's given it a scathing review.
Harry & Meghan:
Becoming Royal premiered over the weekend and portrayed the drama in Meghan and
Harry's life in the months leading up to the Royal wedding. But Thomas Markle
says the movie is more fiction than fact and he feels attacked by the way the
Markle family were portrayed.
Speaking to
TMZ, Thomas insists he never bailed on the Royal Wedding as the
film made it seem. He also doubled down on his stance that he couldn't possibly
attend the ceremony and walk Meghan down the aisle because of his heart
surgery.
Thomas also
objected to the assertion made in the film that he never told Meghan and Harry
he couldn't make it to their wedding. He said that's simply not true and he
feels the movie is littered with tons of "dumb fiction."

apology to ex-school mates for not making 20-year reunion held day before she
gave birth
Meghan Markle sent a touching apology to her
high school friends for not making their 20-year graduation anniversary, which
held the day before she gave birth to royal baby Archie.
The Duchess of Sussex sent a letter
marked "Kensington Palace" to the class-of-1999 reunion of her
all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Former students of Immaculate Heart High
School held their reunion on May 5 but Meghan couldn't make it as she gave
birth on May 6. Students from classes ending in -4 and -9 celebrated their
anniversaries this year - including Meghan's 1999 class.
As she couldn't make it, the American
princess sent a heartwarming letter and her old schoolmates were happy to
receive it.
One former friend told DailyMail:
"Everyone was disappointed that they did not get to catch up with Meghan
given everything that has happened to her. But the whole group was super
excited about her giving birth to the first British-American prince, it was all
anyone talked about.
"They were so excited to get that letter
from her.
"She is remembered as someone who is
very thoughtful, and to get that kind of attention now that she is a royal went
down really well.
"Hopefully she will be able to make it
to the 25-year reunion and she is welcome to bring Harry and Archie along with
her."
Meghan's former teachers described her
as a remarkable student.
Christine Knudsen, who taught one of Meghan's
senior classes, previously told ABC's 20/20: "She had a lot of inner
strength. She was spunky. She was feisty. She loved to sing. She loved to act,
but she also had that depth, which kind of moved into all of her other
subjects. And that was what came through in the end."
Meghan's former theology teacher, Maria
Pollia, said: "She was a remarkable student even then. She was very
enthusiastic about the material, but always took it a step further."
Meghan was also the one who gave the
graduation speech during her set.
Her former school took to Facebook to
congratulate her following the birth of her son.

shared a beautiful new photo of their son, Archie, to mark Meghan Markle's
first Mother's Day.
The Duchess of Sussex welcomed Archie
Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor exactly a week ago today. On Sunday, May 12 was
Mother's day in the US and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated it by
sharing a photo of baby Archie among a bed of Princess Diana's favourite
flowers - Forget-me-not flowers.
The caption accompanying the photo
reads: "Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present,
mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered.
"We honor and celebrate each and every
one of you.
"Today is Mother’s Day in the United
States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several
countries across Europe.
"This is the first Mother’s Day for The
Duchess of Sussex.
"Quote from “lands”: my mother was my
first country; the first place I ever lived."
As the first born son of a duke, Archie could
have become Earl of Dumbarton – one of Harry’s subsidiary titles – or have been
Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. But his parents chose not to give him a royal
title so he can live as normal a life as possible.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their son's name to the world
on Wednesday and, since then, people have wondered why the name Archie was
chosen for the royal baby.
A former friend of the Duchess of Sussex has now shed light on two
possible reasons for why Meghan chose the name.
The former friend reportedly said Meghan used to have a cat called
Archie and she believes she may have named her son after the dead cat. Meghan previously
shared a video of herself with the cat.
The former friend told The Sun: "Doria [Meghan's mum] rescued
Archie and he became an important part of the household. Meghan loved
playing with him and she was always talking about him to her friends. It’s
no surprise she named her new baby Archie. She loved that cat."
The friend also suggested the royal baby could have been named
after the main character of the American comic book Archie.
Meghan reportedly obsessed with the cartoon character as a child and used
to visit comic stores with her now-estranged father Thomas.
The former friend is quoted as saying: "This could be a little nod
to her dad. It was him who instilled that hobby into her, that was their
activity together. He would drive her around and also surprise her with
vintage volumes. She had at least 100. This may be a way to reach out to her dad,
even after all that’s happened."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that their son's full name is
Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Harrison means "Henry's son"
which makes sense because Harry's birth name is
Henry. Mountbatten-Windsor, according to Wikipedia, is the
personal surname used by some of the male-line descendants
of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of
Edinburgh.
English comedian Danny Baker apologises
for joking about Royal baby with monkey picture

comedian, Danny Baker sparked outrage when he posted a photo of a monkey and
referred to it as the "royal baby"
Shortly after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave the world the
first glimpse at little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Danny tweeted a
photo of a couple clutching on to a monkey dressed in a suit.
"Royal baby leaves hospital," he captioned the photo.
But his racist joke was condemned and he immediately took the post down
and issued an apology. He claimed his post wasn't intended to be racist.
He tweeted: "Sorry my gag pic of the little fella in the posh
outfit has whipped some up. Never occurred to me because, well, mind not
diseased. Soon as those good enough to point out it's possible connotations got
in touch, down it came. And that's it. Now stand by for sweary football
tweets."
The 61-year-old, who presents a weekly show on BBC Radio 5 Live, apologised
again on Wednesday evening, saying the joke was intended to poke fun at the
Royal family.
He tweeted: "Once again. Sincere apologies for the stupid
unthinking gag pic earlier. Was supposed to be joke about Royals vs circus
animals in posh clothes but interpreted as about monkeys & race, so rightly
deleted. Royal watching not my forte. Also, guessing it was my turn in the
barrel."
When a fan questioned how innocent his intentions actually were about
tweeting the photo, Danny replied: "Connection never occurred to me till
people were good enough to enlighten."
