An Igbo woman has angered Igbo men with a tweet she shared which got support from a number of other Igbo women.

@Aphrodeity__ tweeted: 

Igbo men are generally insufferable and very misogynistic, subtly or not. You'd be lucky to find one who isn't. 

I actually don't know who's worse between them and men from the north.

At least, the Northern ones like to marry women who can manage their rubbish. Igbo men? Lol

She added:

They'll want to marry a woman with a mind and spirit of her own then "tame her" or "call her to order".

The obsession with being in control is wild.

If you're lucky enough to find one who isn't, hold on to that unicorn tightly.

Her tweet got support from other Igbo women but Igbo men were not happy about the generalization and they called her out for it.

A Nigerian man by the name Shadrack Okpomhe, has taken to his Facebook page to call out another man named Olorogun Jude Akporu.

In his post, Shadrack claimed Akporu dated his female friend for 18 years since their secondary school days and has dumped her to marry another lady.

An angry Shadrack wrote

He Dated my friend for 18yrs and dumped her to marry another lady.

O KARmA, I call on you to visit this man Asap.

My religion doesn't permit us or me sometimes to call anyone a demon, but this particular man here makes me equate him not only to a demon, but a senior advocate in the demonic world, sometimes I wonder why ladies commit suicide just because of failed relationships or marriage in as much I don't encourage it, but there are some cases they got no option than to take their own life, but this won't be the case because karma isn't a bitch anymore but an asshole in the hood.

The pictures of the man here is named Olorogun Jude Akporu he has been dating a friend of mine for the past 18yrs, from secondary school down to higher institution till on Friday night 10-5-2019, my friend does alot of things for him to make him happy at all cost, before then he blocked my friend on facebook and chats her up only on WhatsApp just because of his new found love, each time. My Friend talks about it, he gives her hope that she shouldn't worry that he in charge , to the extent he extorted my friend over a million naira , few weeks ago, the banns of marriage was announced in the church behold it was Jude whose name was mentioned, and when we heard about it, I called my friends attention who couldn't even believe her eyes anymore, only for this man to come around and tell my friend that, his parents are the ones forcing the lady on him that it was never his intention to marry that lady at same time she is the one he loves, this went on and on with much plea and crocodile ? tears ? .

He even encouraged my friend to get pregnant for him so that he can use that as a tool to cancel the already proposed marriage.

Just yesterday this wolf in a sheep clothing wedded Another lady.

People like you make ladies go extra mile to Commit suicide or life unbearable for who causes them pain, and If my friend should go an extra mile to make this happen, I won't blame her for anything because you choose to be heartless and inhuman, what you won't want another person to do to you as a Person because it hurts and might lead to what one never planned for.

Seriously Mr Olorogun Jude Snooty, pray to God to forgive you your sins

Now u are happily married and according to your facebook status you talk about been a honest person, what does it take to be honest when you ain't honest to your own self?

A Nigerian man is currently in a dilemma after a lady he met on Facebook and proposed marriage to, did the unthinkable after they met, had sex multiple times and then he withdrew the marriage proposal.

Good Evening Bro! I met a girl on Facebook and promise her marriage out of play, I never meant it. We shared contact and began dating each other. She said that she was missing me and I said me too.

She lives in Port Harcourt while I lives in Abuja, She decided coming with her own transport fare. She arrived and we had sex and good time, she prepared food and also washed my clothes.

She was some how wife material, then she asked when am I coming to see her people for her hand in marriage. I said for your hand in marriage? For what? She said I thought you promised to marry me and that you said we will plan it when I come?

I said I was only joking and not ready for marriage yet. I told her point black that am not going to marry her but let's put everything in God's hand and see how it goes. She became angry and finally agreed, we had sex again and again.

I left for work only for me to come back home and discovered that she wasn't home. She took all the money I have been saving this year about #240 thousand in the home wood safe, my home laptop and Samsung phone, all the wines and juice both the wines in the bar and in the fridge were also taking from her.

Then I dialed her number not reachable, I searched for her bag but couldn'tn't see it.

The one that angered me most was that she packed all the whole soup and stew she cooked for me both the meats, chicken that I stored inside refrigerator and left the pot without washing it.

When her line finally went through, she picked it and told me that I can't promise her marriage and later took it to for a play, after fucking me like harlot and made me to travel all the way from Port Harcourt to Abuja with my money and all I could get is to tell me that you are not marrying me! I asked her what about the things you took from my house, are you not going to return it back?

She said that she is not returning anything and that she forgot to take the refrigerators and flat screen and other valuables along with her for toying with her emotions. She also said that she has sold the ones she took.

I don't know if I should expose her here on Facebook for doing this evil act to me, she is still active here and am still her friend on Facebook.

She said I should do my worst, that i scammed her and deceived her in the name of marriage. How can Facebook promise be something you take serious? Why would she take it serious.

I Caught My Wife Staked Naked In Bed With Another Man, Embattled Husband Tells Court

Nurudeen Babalola, a driver, yesterday told Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, that he caught his wife in bed with another man.

Babalola, in his divorce suit, said he almost ran mad.

He said even the mother-in-law admitted the other man was her daughter’s boyfriend.

“My lord, I caught my wife in her mother’s room with another man. Her mother even told me that the man in her room was my wife’s boyfriend”, Daily Trust quoted him as saying.

“A day after I caught her with the man, Fatima left my house with my children for an unknown destination for the second time.

“She didn’t allow my children to go to school. I complained to her mother but she didn’t do anything about it. I discovered that she didn’t have time for the children in the marriage. I don’t want her again,” he added.

But Fatimo said it was a lie that her husband caught her with a man in her mother’s room, saying she only arrested him when he beat her mercilessly.

She said, “I admit the case against me but I want to tell this court that he used to beat me mercilessly. It was a lie that he caught me with a man in my mother’s room.

“I arrested him when he beat me to the extent that my eyes were affected. There is no love between us again.”

The president of the court, Chief Ademola Odunade, flanked by Chief Raufu Raji and Sule Apanpa, dissolved the union and granted the custody of two children in the marriage to the defendant.

Odunade mandated the plaintiff to be responsible for the children’s welfare and also ordered him to pay the sum of N6,000 as monthly feeding allowance for the two children.

Anambra Teacher Who Married His Sister Calls Off The Marriage Following Community Threat

The mathematics teacher, Chiadikobi Ezeibekwe, who recently wedded his 17-year-old blood sister in Osuofia, Ekwulobia area of Aguata LGA of Anambra State, said he has been prevailed upon to call off the ‘unholy’ marriage.

Before now, he had told reporters that he was of the Sabbath sect, and that he received direct instructions from God to ‘marry’ his sister. 

The 17-year-old girl is a student of the Federal Government Technical College, Awka.

He justified his action by quoting from the book of Deuteronomy to illustrate that siblings could marry each other saying that, “One advantage of this is that such marriage discourages divorce. It also retains family values and norms.

“I don’t feel guilty; I don’t feel ashamed; I don’t feel intimidated in any way. Only God can stop us. They said they would do cleansing to stop us, but I will only listen to the voice of God,” he had said.

But Chiadikobi has now changed his position, according to Punch, citing pressure from his community.

He said, “We have decided to dissolve that marriage because of pressure from our community. So, that marriage is no longer an issue. It’s now in the past.

“I learnt that they have arranged a Reverend Father to do what they called cleansing. They have contacted us, and we have assured them that we shall make ourselves available for the exercise.

“I will be there and the entire family will be there. But that is not to say that I will join their church. I won’t do that and our family won’t. We can’t go back to Egypt.

“I’m a Sabbath and, searching through the scriptures, I discovered that one could marry his sibling. So, we went ahead with the arrangement to marry my younger sister.

“The marriage ceremony was observed inside our family compound, which also serves as a place of worship for us. My immediate elder brother, Paul Ezeibekwe, the pastor, was present during the ceremony.”

He said, “What happened was that when we decided to get married, we told our parents about our intention and my father asked us if we knew what we were about to do. I told him that we searched through the scriptures and that God sanctioned it. It was after this that our parents consented.

“However, other relatives objected to the idea when they learnt of the plan and when we ignored them and went ahead with the marriage, they and other villagers burnt the church where the wedding took place.”

He insisted that God told him to marry his sister.

He added, “God told me to marry my sister who also received the same vision. There are quotes in the Bible that support such marriage. Those in doubt should read Songs of Solomon chapters 4 and 5 and 1st Corinthians chapter 7.

“However, since we took that decision, the whole community rose against us; and threatened thunder and brimstone.

“We are not barbarians; we are not lawless people. So, we have decided to obey the community, and we have decided to end that marriage. It has been dissolved and that’s the end of it.”
