Singer Shakira lands in court over alleged tax fraud

 

Popular Colombian singer, Shakira has appeared in a Spanish court on Thursday to answer tax fraud charges.

The prosecutors accused her of failing to pay up to 14.5 million Euros ($16.29 million) in taxes on income earned between 2012 and 2014.

Shakira arrived at Esplugues de Llobregat Court near Barcelona in the morning, through the court’s car park entrance, to avoid the media and was seen briefly through a window, NAN reports.

Prosecutors filed charges last December for the period they said Shakira was living in the region of Catalonia but the singer’s representatives said she did not live in Spain until 2015 and had met all her tax obligations.

The 42-year-old singer and the FC Barcelona Defender, Gerard Pique, have been together since 2011 and they have two children.

Shakira had appeared in court in May to face accusations of plagiarism for “La Bicicleta’’, a song she played with Carlos Vives, though the lawsuit was dismissed after the court ruled that they did not copy it.

American actor,  Tracy Morgan picked up a $2 million Bugatti sports car on Tuesday and then immediately got into a minor car crash on the streets of New York City.

According to a NYPD spokesperson, the department received a call around 1:20 p.m. about a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 42nd Street and Tenth Avenue in Manhattan.

"When officers got to the scene, they found two vehicles that were involved in a very minor traffic accident where two cars were basically side by side, and as the light turned green the cars touched. They rubbed slightly" the NYPD spokesperson said.  

 

Although the damage was minor, Morgan still appeared furious at the scene. In videos going round on social media, the  50-year-old comedian is seen climbing out of his sports car and banging on the window of the silver Honda CR-V, which police said was driven by a 61-year-old woman.

"It's a $2 million car!" Morgan can be heard telling bystanders. "Just bought it!"  Morgan was seen entering an ambulance at the scene, but police said the comedian was not hurt and had merely asked to sit in the vehicle to get out of the sun and the view of the public and paparazzi.

Blac Chyna has a new reality show titled "The Real Blac Chyna" and clips from the show captures her getting violent with her mother.

In a sneak preview, Chyna is seen smoking an e-cigarette in her kitchen while having a conversation with her mum, Tokyo Toni. Tokyo tells her she needs to see a shrink and asks her what her problem is. Chyna then tells her mum that she (Tokyo) is her problem.

She raised her voice at her mum as she said this and had her hand in her face. This angered her mum and she warned her sternly while reminding her how she raised her alone without help and suffered for her. But Chyna doesn't take this well and she asks her mum to leave her house.

"Get out of my house. I hate you," Chyna tells her mum before going to the counter to pick a bottle which she aims at her mother, but her body guard holds her back while her mother is escorted out of the house.
