US rapper Tre Da Kid found dead from gunshot wounds after his car
crashes in Maryland
A Maryland rapper, Tre
Da Kid was found shot and killed in his car just an hour before he was set
to perform over the weekend.
The rapper whose real name is Edward Montre Seay of Chester, was driving through the city of Annapolis on Friday ahead of his performance at The One Sports Bar & Lounge in Baltimore before he met his untimely death.
Authorities arrived at the crash site around 9.19pm following reports of a shooting. The damaged vehicle was found at Forest drive and South Cherry Grove Avenue. The sole occupant of that vehicle was the 32-year-old rapper who died from gunshot wounds.
Police have
confirmed that they are currently investigating the incident.
Police spokeswoman Sgt.
Amy Miguez did not say whether his death was connected to his performing
career.
Seay rose to fame
after winning Verizon's 2016 #Freestyle50 rap contest which earned him a
$10,000 and a recording contract with 300 Entertainment.
