The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has warned the General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church against preventing Nigerians from expressing their views about their leaders.

We reported earlier that Kumuyi on Sunday urged Christians not to attack the President of the country through any means.

Kumuyi gave the admonition during his sermon at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Headquarters, Gbagada, in Lagos adding that real Christians must obey constituted authorities and shun violence.

Delivering his sermon entitled “The Believers’ Preservation Until the Day of Visitation”, Kumuyi said that Christians are strangers and pilgrims in the world and must be christ-like in their character, conducts and conversations.

“Don’t attack the President of the country whether in words or in the newspapers or through internet.

“Honour kings; don’t disrespect or dishonour the governors. Don’t disrespect leaders of the community and leaders in the church.

“If we are to honour the governors in the states, how much more the Pastors,” Kumuyi said.

Reacting, Senator Sani tweeted, “Pastor Kumuyi is a respectable and responsible man of God, I like him.

“But he should allow people to express their views about their leaders and speak truth to power.

“That is their only shield of defending democracy and propelling the wheel of freedom and justice.”

Taking to his Twitter handle to react to Kumuyi's call, FFK wrote
"Don't attack Buhari"- Kumuyi.

God deliver us from shepherds that slaughter the sheep, that defend the cruel, that support injustice, that love the wicked, that serve the tyrant, that despise the weak, that enslave the poor and that worship genocidal maniacs and sociopathic butchers.

Stop Complaining, Pray For Buhari, Me And Those In Authority - Osinbajo Tells Nigerians

BREAKING NEWS
Stop Complaining, Pray For Buhari, Me And Those In Authority - Osinbajo Tells Nigerians
The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday appealed to Nigerian to pray for him and his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said the prayers were needed to enable those in government overcome numerous challenges facing the nation.
Osinbajo, who made the remark at the inauguration of the Deeper Life Bible Church new Headquarters Auditorium, Gbagada, Lagos, said that governance was a spiritual warfare.
“It is the duty of the Church, as we are, that the Church prays for the government; that the Church upholds the hands of those in government, not by complaining but by supporting us with prayers.
“Governance is a spiritual warfare, if anyone does not know that, I know. I ask the Church to pray for everyone of us in the position of authority in this land,” Osinbajo pleaded.
On the edifice, Osinbajo said: “This is one of the proudest moments for me as a Christian. This great edifice is for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Osinbajo, who was delighted with the edifice for its modern amenities and technology, said its surroundings were investments in the community with a connecting bridge, street lights and greatly improved access roads.
The Vice President commended the Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, for his uncommon humility and commitment to the spread of the undiluted gospel of Jesus Christ.
According to him, part of the resistance includes resistance to the building of churches, saying there are cases of this, which President Muhammadu Buhari, has saddled him with.
“The devil’s biggest agenda is stoke up a religious conflict in Nigeria, one that would make it impossible for anyone to preach the gospel while the security agencies continue to work relentlessly to wipe out the perpetrators of these evil acts.
“And to bring a permanent end to all of the killings going on in the name of herdsmen, Boko Haram or any other name, we as a body of Christ must not loose focus.
“We are called to bring men and women to salvation, even those who kill.
“The enemy wants us to stand on our pulpits and preach hate but we will obey the Lord Jesus Christ, who said we must love our enemy and pray even for those who persecute us.
“There is no person born or yet to be born that can stop the gospel of Jesus Christ,” he added.
