Declaring his intention at the Obohia Community Primary School, in Ukwa East local government area of the state, on Thursday, Stanley said his intention to run for the Senatorial seat was born out of his love for the good people of Abia South Senatorial Zone, and the already existing equity in Abia South, which empowered an Ukwa man to run for the senatorial position in 2019 election.
The former member of the federal House of Representatives explained that having allowed their brothers from the Ngwa extraction to represent them for a period of three consecutive tenures, equity and justice, demanded that an Ukwa person should be supported to represent the Abia south zone in 2019.

“We have supported our brothers from Ngwa bloc to be in the senate for three consecutive tenures. So, based on the existing charter of equity, I think an Ukwa man should be given the opportunity to occupy the Abia south senatorial seat come 2019.
“I’m assuring you that with the experience I have in public office,I have been a deputy speaker of Abia Assembly, a commissioner, local government Chairman and member federal House of Representatives, I will ensure dividends of democracy gets to the doors steps of the people of Abia south”.
Some PDP stakeholders, who spoke during the declaration ceremony included the Executive Chairman of Ukwa East Local government area, Honorable Lewis Obianyi and the Member Representing Ukwa East State Constituency, in Abia House of Assembly, Honorable Paul Taribo.
They declared their total support for Stanley, whom they described as a good and pragmatic leader and promised never to disappoint him come 2019 election.
